Michael and I enjoyed a four day weekend on the southern coast of Sri Lanka.
The drive from the airport to our little getaway intersected with a herd of cows.
We started our mini-vacation in a charming rented cottage located close to Mirissa Beach, so we could enjoy its surf and sand.
We were met by a lovely couple who cared for the cottage, as well as provided our daily homemade meals of local fare.
The cottage did not have air conditioning. It was, however more of an open concept with lots of fans.
A lovely garden enhanced the outdoor dining area of this little paradise found.
