Our taxi drive from Mirissa to Tissamaharama was a nice one. We stopped at a little park for lunch, then eventually made our way to Lake Edge Holiday Inn.
The rustic inn did not offer air conditioning.
I was intrigued with the mosquito net that surrounded the bed, reminding me of Karen von Blixen’s bed in the movie Out of Africa.
A magical evening would happen after we checked and settled in.
An evening that created a memory that I will never forget.
