Leisure Time? We Take It When We Can

What do I enjoy doing most in my leisure time?

Being outside in nature is important to me. Gardening. Keeping our lake front property looking clean and pleasing to look at. Swimming. Kayaking. Being out in the sunshine. Playing with our dogs, Vinnie and Pebbles.

Spending time with friends and family.

Blogging.

We’ve been so busy with the building of our dome home, it seems leisure time comes in little bits, we can take it.

That said, the drywall phase of our living space is almost complete. We are now looking at colours and cabinets and appliances. This is fun, in small doable steps.

We’re year three living in our RV, well into our third winter. The weather has been relatively favourable, however this weekend a cold front has hit us and a big winter storm is on its way. Our water lines froze yesterday, are fixable, and we have water in the dome to make our coffee! With these exceptional cold days, the RV meant for warmer days means the fridge can stop working. We learned this lesson the hard way over the past two winters. We now know to unplug it. The exterior cold temperatures keep the fridge functional. We also have to take a run into town today to get extra propane tanks filled for the RV. These recent multi-days of -18 degree weather eats up the propane that heats our RV!

Always something to think about!

So we take leisure time when we can.

Seasonal Leisure Activities

Winter – morning blog with coffee, crocheting, baking, tending to our aquarium and Beta bowls, relaxing with our dogs, watching the variety of birds who visit our feeders, getting outside when it’s not too cold or damp, Thursday’s Ladies Night Horseback Riding.

Spring/Summer/Autumn – morning blog with coffee, crocheting, baking, tending to our aquarium and Beta bowls, playing with our dogs, watching the variety of birds who visit our feeders, swimming with our dogs, swimming, kayaking, gardening, landscaping our property, mowing the lawn, being outside, and Thursday’s Ladies Night Horseback Riding.
