Life Skills
When I stick to my side of the street, life becomes so much more peaceful. Simple.
Drama happens when I step onto another’s lane and make it my business when I have no right to be there; especially when I wasn’t invited.
As well, I ask myself – am I creating drama by blowing a situation out of proportion?
Or, am I responding skillfully; does my reaction match the circumstance?
These lessons, these valuable life skills have taken me a long time to learn.

I like that you can see the root of the issue. I’m not always good with that in the moment, but it certainly helps put perspective on the noise we create that often looks nothing like the actual issue. I think knowing the actual issue also helps us to be kind to ourselves, and look for constructive ways to communicate what’s really going on. Thank you for this post. It serves as a great reminder to me.
Thank you Marla. I like how you say the noise we create in our mind has nothing to do with the actual issue, be kind to ourselves and look for constructive ways to communicate what is really going on. Takes a lot of work. I am slowly discovering this gets easier with practice. I am grateful this blog has meaning for you. 🌻💛🌻

If we stay out of situations that do not directly affect us, we are less likely to get involved in fights, rumors, or emotional turmoil.
Exactly. I don’t want other people’s drama in my life. I want a peaceful life. 🌻
