On my Athens Metro adventure from the airport to Exarcheia, I had to transfer from one train to another.
Successful in my navigation, I arrived at the proper station. There I met Gashem, the Airbnb apartment manager. He’s a tall Sudanese man, over 6 feet, not easily missed in a crowd. I gratefully handed him one of my suitcases as he led the way to my Athens home for the next 11 days.
The sun was shining as we walked to our destination. Graffiti marked many buildings. One in particular tagged the identify of the building I am staying in.
I’d been awake for 24 hours and was exhausted.
I thanked Gashem, then took a few photos before exploring the neighbourhood for food! I was starving!
