After running into the unexpected, but expected traveling bumps that happen no matter how prepared I am, my feet landed on the mythical, ancient soil of Greece.
It was smooth sailing through customs, as well as gathering my luggage.
Next, I was surprised to discover taxis were on strike.
My Greek adventure would begin with taking the Athens Metro from the airport to my Airbnb apartment located in Exarcheia, a neighbourhood in central Athens.
