Howard Carter
Howard Carter (9 May 1874 – 2 March 1939) was a British archaeologist and Egyptologist who discovered the intact tomb of the 18th Dynasty Pharaoh Tutankhamen in November 1922, the best-preserved pharaonic tomb ever found in the Valley of the Kings.

The Anubis Shrine

Royal Bed
This bed is one of several found in the tomb of Tutankhamun. Made of wood gilded with gold, it has depictions of cows on it. In ancient Egypt, cows were sometimes associated with Hathor, a goddess associated with fertility and love.

The Gold Funerary Mask of Tutankhamen
The death mask of Tutankhamen is one of the best-known works of art in the world and a prominent symbol of Ancient Egypt.

The Second Anthropoid Coffin of Tutankhamen
Tutankhamen’s sarcophagus held not one but three coffins in which to hold the body of the king. The outer two coffins were crafted in wood and covered in gold along with many semiprecious stones, such as lapis lazuli and turquoise. The image of the pharaoh is that of the God Osiris.
This innermost coffin is mummy shaped and made of solid gold that weighs 245 lb. It was found wrapped in linen inside the middle coffin.

Jewellery
By this time, we were both a bit tired, hungry and agreed, it was time to go. I took only one other picture of other artifacts found in King Tut’s tomb. I am not sure what this is, but it is beautiful.
