There isn’t really one person who inspires me.
Michael, my husband inspires me with his way of living life outside the rules set by others. He follows the beat of his own drum.
My mother inspires me with her independence and strong work ethic. At 83 years old she continues life as if she were decades younger while caring for her husband, Vern who has chronic pain and illnesses, limiting his participation in life.
My father, Vern who has a sense of humour while living with chronic pain, and illness. He does the best he can, minimizing his daily physical struggles with humility while living life as best as he can.
My AA sponsor who continually surprises me with her wisdom as we work the 12-Steps together. Many times I’ve wanted to run from her, but am surprised each time we meet via Zoom how caring her heart is.
