The last time we were camping was in Qatar. Living in Al Rayyan, we traveled to Al Zubara, located along the north-western coast, and settled in.
Like most of Qatar’s beach-lined coast – it was littered with garbage and the remains of exotic sea life such as a sea turtle. A local drove by with a gun. Vehicles had to be near the tents to shelter from those driving 4 wheelers at night.
Sand was in everything and everywhere.
It was an experience I overall didn’t much enjoy, but the campfire (as always) was nice.
