In the late 1990’s, a kind person I knew upgraded to a new computer and gave me their old one that looked very similar to the one in the photo.
This new-to-me computer introduced me to the Internet.
Basically, I had a digital typewriter that connected me to a world view via the Internet.
This was both compelling and overwhelming to see things I could not un-see on one site and be inspired on another.
Weird.
Now, here I sit some thirty years later, desensitized yet steeped in fear from fake news and conspiracy theories.
Not really, but you get my drift.

A very familiar looking dinosaur. Oh how technology has changed. For the good and not so good.
Agreed. Here I sit at my sleek computer drinking my AED start to the day wondering if AI will eventually take over the world and I’ll have to get all Linda Hamilton on them. Funny, but not funny. Then we’ll have to relocate to Mars with Elon and Trump. Maybe Han Solo will fly in and save the day? I think I just had a nervous twitch.

I still remember my first computer, la dinosaurita. Times have changed so much! If I could go back and tell my former self about the future, she would not believe me 🙂
