Not much has changed since answering this daily prompt a year ago, today.
Except it is a Monday morning, not Sunday and I’m going to work at Millwood High School, instead of Georges P Vanier Junior High School.
Beyond that, it is very wintery outside with winds blowing over a fresh layer of snow.
I am enjoying my second cup of coffee and feeling good about the week ahead.
What snack would I eat right now?
Easy.
The same as last year.
Fresh, warm croissants out of the oven, spread with tasty, sweet jam served with a barista cappuccino.

It’s a wintery, sleeping in, lazy Sunday morning here in Eastern Canada as I enjoy my first cup of java!
To snack I would savour a warm, fresh croissant and jam as I sip my coffee. Even better would be a barista cappuccino, but I do not have the machine to make one.
La Palette, a restaurant in Paris, served warm milk with their coffee.
The croissants were fluffy and crispy as I topped with spoonfuls of jam!
Everything about Paris was delicious!

Sounds wonderful. There is a place off of Spring Garden Road in Halifax that has wonderful coffee and pastries.
What’s the name of it? Next time I’m in Halifax, I’ll visit the location.
Pane e Circo on Queen St. off Spring Garden near Brunswick.
There is also another one on Agricola Street in the north end called Cafe Lara. It’s pretty popular in that area. I know of it because our daughter’s home is about a block away.
Thanks for these! I like the Agricola Street area. It’s really changed over the years. I like the urban trendy vibe with that artisan feel to it. Happy Monday! 🌻
Our daughter has lived just off Agricola near North Street for about fours years now(I think). She loves the area. I do as well. I did six days of petting for her during the summer. I loved the vibe the whole area had. There is a vintage shop(can’t remember the name) in a old house on Agricola. Scored two exceptional funky art prints there. One hangs in our art room and the other in a downstairs hallway.
