The greatest gift someone could give me is memory.
As a result of trauma, my memory goes something like this:
I was born, a kid for 2 minutes, my twenties – a blur, my thirties – huh?, my forties/fifties – I created this blog to help me to remember.
While I am exaggerating, there is a reality to this.
Photos help me to put together my life.
To gain perspective on how I interpreted information and experiences – and context – the surroundings, circumstances and environment that clarify the meaning of an event or idea I made out of it.

I have acceptance, time, love, and friendship in my life.
More money would always be welcomed. But with money, there is usually strings attached. Money seems to complicate everything it touches.
My dream, the greatest gift someone could give me, is to one day own an American Paint Quarter Horse to grow old with.
My husband and I are hoping to eventually turn the sad story of the 5 acres of land we bought to have a horse, then learned the developer lied to us and we cannot have a horse, into a happy ending.
Until then, it seems the recent fortuitous unfolding of a coworker opening a riding school near to where we live, who has a couple of registered paint horses, and a weekly Ladies Night Ride – has happily brought horses back into my life.

I’m glad horses are back in your life. It would be a great gift to own your own.
Thanks Valerie. 😊🌻 Do you enjoy riding horses?
I’ve always wanted to learn to ride a horse. I’ve ridden them a couple of times and genuinely enjoyed it.
You got my admiration, since I’m afraid of horses (perhaps related to my condition)
I am a bit nervous around horses as I step back into riding and get my confidence back. Horses are like big kids. Some horses are more gentle and easy going, others not so much. The “not so much” horses are too much horse for me. I am a novice rider who is hoping to connect with a horse who is gentle, laid back and loves my attention!
Look at that smile to have horse’s so close to home. We are so very happy for you.
Thanks mama and DV!!! 🐴❤️🐴
