Kandersteg, Switzerland

Michael and I spent Christmas of 2016 in Switzerland.

We celebrated with Father Christmas during a traditional Swiss-German Christmas Eve at Nico’s Restaurant, located in the hotel we were staying at.

Later, we walked to a Catholic Church and attended mass spoken in German. I sang Silent Night along with the rest of the congregation, but in English.

This was a truly magical Christmas Eve.

Michael and I settled in for a 6 week stay in this southern coastal fishing village.

We went to the beach each day, gathered a pack of dogs who became our friends, traveled around on scooter adventures, and loved all of it.

Well, the food was super spicy, some too much for me! I had scrambled eggs instead!
