What are my favourite animals?
Horses and dogs are my favourite.
Michael and I love our rescue dogs Vinnie and Pebbles and our cat from Qatar, Georgie.
We miss our past pets, now waiting for us at The Rainbow Bridge: Marlow, Pooh Bear and Bob Jazeera.
One fun memory we have is the dog pack we hung with during our 6 week stay in the small fishing village of Mararikulam, India.
Popeye and Olive were village dogs who joined us each day during our walk to the beach near our homestay.
One afternoon, we heard a sound outside the door and there was Popeye and Olive – coming to visit us! We loved those dogs so much! We contemplated bringing them to Canada, but they were happy, free dogs – taken care of by kind people in the village.
Soon our little pack of dogs grew to include other dogs from the village.
We also love all the interesting animals we’ve encountered along the way such as monkeys, goats, elephants, water buffalos, eagles, sea turtles and more…
