As a result of redundancy, I’ll be moving on from Georges P. Vanier Junior High School (GPV).

I’ll be starting the new school year at my old alumni, Millwood High School.

After 6 incredible years at GPV, I wanted an exceptional memory to be my last hoorah.

I spent a lot of time forming great connections in Mrs. Lantagne’s Grade 6 classroom – 605.

The students knew I owned the yellow Jeep Wrangler with cool stickers, located in the staff parking lot.

This resulted in the random asking, “Mrs. Wells, will you drive me home?”

An idea popped into my head as my last hoorah: I will put the class in my Jeep for a fun photo and lasting memory!

After gaining administrative permission and Mrs. Lantange collected final parental consent, the plans for the photo began to take shape in my mind.

Then, on the morning of the hottest day of the year (so far), Mrs. Lantagne and I piled them into my Jeep.

So I don’t forget their names, here goes:

First Row: Ben, Grayson, Luke, Andrew, Ashley, Mrs. Wells, Ruby, Evander, Griffen

Second Row: Andrew, Brodey, Maddie, Bea, Izzy, Brooklyn, Blake

Third Row: Mrs. Lantagne, Char Char, Aiden, Adenline, Carter

Fourth Row: Graydon, Maxton, Sadie

Fifth Row: Alex and Kingston

This is a great group of kids with a skilled teacher at the helm, navigating their successful school year.

I watched this group of kids grow literally in size, and find their place within the class.

Working with kids is such a privilege and so much fun!
