More Than Sexual Fidelity
Trust is more than being sexually faithful to each other.
Trust is having faith in the motives behind your partner’s actions, words, and ability to have your best interest at heart.
Without trust, there isn’t a relationship – because you can’t “relate” and that “ship” sails away.
Trust is Earned – Not a Right
Trust is earned over time when our actions consistently match words.
Words can be so empty.
Complete honesty is scary, but very necessary.
Sometimes truth hurts, but is softened when communicated with compassion.
This level of honesty is not easy, as it has been my experience my own issues can get in the way.
I will project insecurities rather than being able to identify what it is I honesty need to communicate.
Keeping Secrets
My husband would tell you that I am an open book.
I don’t keep secrets. He’s right on that.
I believe in 100% transparency.
As the below quote says, secrecy is the enemy of intimacy.
Trust Takes Time
Trust is a beautiful reward when love feels comfortable. Safe.
