I have a vague memory of watching something within the past five months that brought about a good cry, but I cannot recall what it was.

The movie was Remarkably Bright Creatures with Sally Field.

I tend to avoid movies that have dogs, horses or any animal as a main character within the plot because of the strong emotional reaction I have to any potential storyline of loss or harm that may happen to them.

I lean towards sci-fi and action movies. If a dog or horse is in the story, I Google to find out if they die. This answer will depend on whether I watch or not.

Therefore, knowing the end, I happily watched Remarkably Bright Creatures while bawling my eyes out!

Another movie that is guaranteed to make me cry is Fried Green Tomatoes – it’s one of my favourites to do so.
