My answer this year, to this recycled Daily Prompt question is: I would love to live on an island in The Maldives.
A quiet, simple life, happily exploring the turquoise, tropical waters populated with a lovely variety of marine inhabitants.
I would also do my part in helping to conserve and protect local marine life.

My answer this year, to this recycled Daily Prompt question is: I would love to live on the Greek Island of Hydra.
This little paradise where cart and donkey are the main means of transportation.
I can imagine living a simple, quiet life there.
Just as fellow Canadian, Leonard Cohen did.

If I could live anywhere in the world, Michael and I have talked about moving to Thailand.
There are many beautiful locations in this country and we can easily imagine living a simple, comfortable life there.

Great place , Great food !!
Agreed! 😊
Their immigration rules to become a resident are damned strict and ownership of real estate is reserved for Thai citizens (don’t think about circumventing that rule by creating a company because they’re actually cracking down on those constructs that are not employing minimum 5 or 10 (Thai) people and where the shares are not for at least for 51 % in Thai hands)
Thanks for this feedback. My husband has a few friends who live in Thailand with their Thai wives and are quite happy. We could see ourselves being very happy there as well, and it is just a nice dream.
On the other hand, Cambodia is just next doors and has a more relax immigration policy although they have similar laws around real estate ownership. But at least you can enjoy your stay without having to catch an airplane every 30 days to make a visa jump.
We’ve heard the beaches in Cambodia are spectacular. Thanks for this important information. 😊🌻🙏🏻
That sounds wonderful
