Big Foot: A Ridiculous Childhood Belief?

Daily writing prompt
What’s something you used to believe as a kid that seems ridiculous now?

When I was a kid, I believed Big Foot existed.

He lived deep in the woods, near my uncle’s hunting camp located in Goshen, Nova Scotia.

At night, I would be terrified to leave the safety of the camp to walk the short distance to the outhouse, in fear Big Foot would get me.

Now, in the light of day I know Big Foot does not exist.

However, as an adult and I had to walk to that same outhouse in the darkness of night, my mind would play tricks on me!

What was that sound?

Whose out there?

Is it Big Foot?

  3. I love cryptids, but Bigfoot is probably my least favorite. That said, I couldn’t tell you whether it truly exists or not. At this point, I’m skeptical of almost everything.
