I can’t really recall a thing I was obsessed with as a kid.
I know I loved animals and a pet store that was part of our family for a period of time.
I was fearless with picking up iguanas, snakes the same length as I was, de-scented skunks, ferrets, and even tarantulas, that terrified me.
CBC had a Sunday morning kid’s show called Switchback. I would have been about 10 years old when I was on that show holding a tarantula (inwardly terrified) while talking about it.
There was even a time when we went to see a cougar that was someone’s pet. I was able to pat the cougar like I would a regular cat.
I was fearless with animals.
