The last three years has been consumed with the building of our dome home. Michael building our dome home. I work a full-time job, and do all the daily adulting responsibilities. This doesn’t leave a lot of spare time for fun and play.
At the end of the day, we both lay our heads on the pillow, exhausted.
Compared to last year’s middle school, this year I work at a high school. Yesterday was the last day of Secret Santa fun.
My Secret Santa gifted me an epic surprise!
R2-D2 Christmas Lights!
This brought much joy and happiness into our little RV home.

2024
After a full week of working at a middle school, and a true introvert with social anxiety, it takes a lot to get me out of my pajamas on the weekend and go out into the world.
Last weekend our small community on Long Lake organized an ATV food drive parade collecting much needed grocery items for Feed Nova Scotia.
My husband convinced me to go, and I didn’t have to change out of my pajamas because my long winter coat goes almost to my ankles!
With confident steps, Michael blended in with our community, his building of our dome home a topic of interest for some of the men there.
Me, I looked on in panic at the variety of women gathered in circles.
I stayed on the outskirts, taking pictures then pulled the dogs out of the truck and started walking home.
While this may not sound like it was fun for me, the after effect was.
That good feeling of being a part of a community who comes together to help others and enjoy the true meaning of Christmas!
