Lugano, Switzerland
Michael and I drove around Switzerland in December of 2016. We loved everything about it from its mountains, food, culture and overall vibe.
While driving to Lavin, we stumbled across an Italian enclave, Campione d’Italia, on Lake Lugano.
We fell in love with this little taste of the Mediterranean, surrounded by majestic Swiss and Italian Alps such as Monte Generoso, Monte San Giorgio, Monte San Salvatore, and Monte Brè.
Therefore, I would welcome a trip back to Switzerland and visit Lugano to steep myself in its Mediterranean vibe, food, culture and rich history.

London, England
Back in the late 1990’s I fell in love with Lord Peter Wimsey while reading Dorothy Sayer’s, Whose Body, then carried on to read her next 11 Wimsey books.
It’s been well over a decade since I’ve reread the going-ons of this charming Duke who is a gentleman of taste, wealth, a man-about-town who solves crimes for fun.
Next is the little Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, who lived in Flat 203 at 56B Whitehaven Mansions, London. His meticulous style and little grey cells are fascinating to me. I could relate to his love of everything has a place and there is a place for everything way of living – and keeping his shoes spotless! Mostly, I loved when he would gather all the suspects in the room to then call out the murderer.
Enter Mr. Sherlock Homes; his brilliant mind, attention to detail and addiction to heroin creates a compelling detective who seems to get into the minds of others with his ability to observe with logical reasoning.
I imagine walking the streets of London to then somehow be transported back to the Victorian Era and the Golden Age of Detective Fiction.
