October 7th, 2023 – Adopting A Texas Rescue Dog
Since my early twenties, I have always owned a dog. Bess, Mookie, Garbo and Marlow are now waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge.
Adopting a rescue dog was a first for me, and my husband.
Vinnie was part of a litter of pups rescued from a kill shelter in Texas. His first year of life was spent in a rescue kennel.
I drove from Nova Scotia to new Brunswick to pick him up from his heartfelt foster mom who cried to let him go.
Vinnie drooled the entire drive home, and still to this day is not a fan of being in vehicles.
His first day with us was so easy. He settled in as if he had always been home.
He immediately bonded to us. Particularity me, as he always checks in on me, making sure I am okay.
He is my sentinel. My protector.
Vinnie is also sensitive, expressive, loyal and loves to cuddle.
His favourite spot is on our bed. That is his happy place.
He is mama and papa’s big, adorable, loving boy!

August 18th, 2015 – My Wedding
Michael and I’s relationship was a whirlwind.
Our marriage – impulsive is an understatement.
Our wedding day – a first for me.
As I stood at the top of steps, the bride making her grand entrance, I paused, looked down at everyone looking up at me, and yelled out, “Oh my gawd, I’m getting married!”
It was a moment I will never forget – it was like – here I go – announcing to everyone how I’m about to do something else I’ve never done before.
And here I sit, almost ten years later, looking back on this day, I am still amazed at how extraordinary Michael and I’s journey has been, and continues to be…

Some people have done that! None that I know of, but I think I’ve seen photos of newlyweds (her in her wedding dress) bungee jumping! 😳😳😳😳
Yes, I’ve seen pics of bungee weddings. And scuba diving! First kiss wouldn’t be quite the same 😂😂
