My Greatest Could
Would be Cage Diving With Great White Sharks.
This would be overcoming my greatest fear of these misunderstood apex predators.
My fear created as a result of the movie Jaws, released in 1975 when I was 6 years old.
At 6 years old, I had never heard of a shark until my family spoke about the movie. Specifically, the scene when Richard Dreyfuss is night diving and discovers the body in the hull of a boat. That scene scared Aunt Carol Anne so much she jumped in her seat spilling either her popcorn or pop all over the place.
Since then, anytime I swim in either fresh or salt water, a shark attacking me is in the back of my mind.
I have always wanted to cage dive with sharks, to help overcome this fear.
I have a few years ahead of me, perhaps I will one day accomplish this adventure.
***Update – October 14th, 2025:
With the population increase of Great White Sharks along the shores of Nova Scotia, my greatest fear will come true!
Atlantic Shark Expeditions has opened.
I’m hoping to sign up for a cage dive with Great White Sharks summer of 2026!
S, 🌻

I’ve done a shark dive in the Bahamas, but not sure about a great white experience 😱😱
So exciting! Were you in a cage or able to dive freely with them? What kind of sharks did you dive with? 🤩🤩🤩
It was exciting 🤗. No, not in a cage, there was a group of us on our knees, on the floor bed, in a circle. Bait was thrown into the centre…and then they came 😱…a lot of them! Majority were reef sharks, tiger sharks and a couple of hammerheads. It was an amazing experience…albeit a little scary 😃
Wow! Sounds incredible! I bet a little scary. Were you with a resort group and tour guide or a group of friends off a boat who had experience diving with sharks? I traveled to Cuba many, many years ago, and hope to someday explore more of the Caribbean Islands. There, I hope to one day try your shark experience and if possible, cage dive with great white sharks.
It was with a Dive Team in the Bahamas. I did several dives with them; a black wall dive, wreck dive, a deep dive, a few shallow dives. I loved Cuba ❤️. And St Lucia was lovely. I would defo recommend a shark dive…it’s exhilarating. I’m sure you will do the cage dive with the great whites. 🤞
Adventurous Spirits Unite! 🎉🎊🎉🎊
Absolutely!! 🤗💕
Wow! How wonderful to have an adventurous spirit like yours!! In the New Earth, you won’t need a cage!!
Thank you Michele. 🌻 What is the New Earth? Sounds like a nice place if I won’t need a cage to swim with great white sharks. 😊
I didn’t believe there was/is a God, but in a time of desperation I called out to the One I didn’t believe existed. I screamed: “God, HELP me!” and it was there in my own living room, that He made His presence known to me. I never felt such love in my life and joy. I knew nothing about the Bible, but when I told my neighbor that I found God, she said: “That’s wonderful dear, but you must believe in Jesus to be saved,” and my response was: “What if I can’t believe?” because I didn’t. She said: “It’s a gift!!” and then told me how the son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, came to earth for the specific purpose of dying for my sins, so that I could know God, Who is our Father. It was just like she said: “Faith to believe” was given to me as an unearned gift, and I felt the weight of my sins which were like ton of rocks lift off me.
Jesus Christ is the savior of ALL the world, especially of those who believe. His plan was/is to save and deliver us from evil, and it is a progressive work…. In the end of the ages, when death and hell are NO MORE, there is going to be a New Earth and a New Heaven. EVERYTHING will be restored and made new. We are even going to be with our beloved pets again as well as all our loved ones and friends. Through one man, Adam, our forefather, we were born with a sinful nature. Through Jesus Christ, who is called the Second Man, a new nature is given to us and slowly we overcome what sin has done to us. Contrary to what the Harlot Church has taught, hell is not “forever” (a mistranslated word in the Bible)…. It is “age-lasting,”and yes, those who have led wicked lives will be corrected with many woes. Our God is just: He’s a good God full of mercy, but when people reject Him and do evil, they must face what they’ve done. However, when Jesus hung on the cross, He cried out: “Father, forgive them. They KNOW NOT what they do!” Our Father heard our Lord’s prayer and EVERY man and woman shall be saved in the END…. Yes, even the wicked for the fires of hell will burn out their wickedness and change them…. For some it may take ages, but EVERY knee is going to bow and confess that Jesus is Lord and they are not going to do it with grit teeth.
Oh, I cannot describe His great love and compassion for us….
May you know the truth dear one….. It sets us free and is revealed to humble ones who ask.
One whose heart and life have been changed,
❤️Michele
I like how you say how God is just, full of mercy. I believe in that kind of God, as well. A God that is a loving and benevolent energy, who permeates and connects us. Some of us have just lost our way, our connection to this. I also like how you clarify when Jesus cried out to his Father that humans know not what they do. Spirituality truly a is journey that returns us to ourselves, our true nature woven with the Universal principles of a Divine and Loving Source. Those moments of spiritual awakenings and connection to this Divine Source are so powerful. To know, to feel we are deeply loved, accepted and connected to this Loving Source. Thank you so much Michele for sharing your passion and truth with me. 🌻💛
What a precious, loving, thoughtful response! It has blessed me very much. 🌹☀️
It’s been but a few months, since I’ve been able to cure my phobia of diving (thanks goes on to my eldest son). But for this I would need one more cure to pull through 🙂 Maybe the next summer.
Good for you. If you do cage dive with sharks, I can’t wait to read about it. 🤩🤩
If I gather enough courage. But my eldest one is likely to drag me with 🙂
Good to have trusted company during scary first steps into something new. 🌻
