5 Principles of Reiki

Just for today, I will not worry

Just for today, I will not be angry

Just for today, I will do my work honestly

Just for today, I will be kind to all living things

Just for today, I will be grateful for my many blessings

Three days ago, Hurricane Dorian made landfall in Nova Scotia.

Michael and I are sitting in a Tim Hortons coffee shop. We are using their power because our little borrowed cabin up in the woods does not.

Our computers are plugged into their outlets. We’re drinking their coffee, eating their breakfast foods, and using their toilet.  Michael shaved in their washroom.

There are about 15 electrical workers here from Maine, the power trucks parked outside. As the men stood up to leave, all the locals in the coffee shop thanked them as they left.

Today, I am grateful for Nova Scotia Power who has brought in electrical help from Maine and Florida.

Today, I am grateful Tim Hortons and that the town of Windsor has power.

Today, I am grateful for electrical workers working around the clock to restore power for everyone.

  2. I’ve seen the videos and photos on the news. That must have been (and still is) horrible. Stay safe!
