5 Principles of Reiki

Just for today, I will not worry

Just for today, I will not be angry

Just for today, I will do my work honestly

Just for today, I will be kind to all living things

Just for today, I will be grateful for my many blessings

Spirit Eagle

While kayaking along Quadra Island, located within the Discovery Islands archipelago in British Columbia, an eagle fly past me.

I took photos with my iPhone.

One photo was exceptional.

Is it an iPhone optical effect?

Or did I capture a photo of Spirit Eagle?

Eagles

I’m from Nova Scotia, but at this time I’m living in the small town of Campbell River, British Columbia.

There are many Indigenous communities here.

Power animals and personal totems are an integral part of their spirituality.

If you’re like me, you’re drawn to this system of belief.

As a Wild Woman Walking a Spiritual Path, this photo strengthens my connection to nature, animals, especially eagles.

I recently got a tattoo of a Phoenix Rising from a Restorative Circle. An eagle is part of the design. Click here read about the creation of the tattoo.

Kindness to Animals

There seems to be a real kinship towards nature and animals here in Campbell River. This connection inspires a feeling of sacredness within me.

We are visitors to their homes.

We need to respect this by keeping forests and waters safe. We must honour that they too need a safe place to live.

They should be free of the threat of humans.

As I go about my day, I will make a conscious effort to reduce my environmental impact on their homes.

S, 🌻

  3. Stephanie, this post is soul medicine.

The Reiki principles alone bring a sense of peace, but then—Spirit Eagle? That image gave me chills. Whether optical or omen, something spoke in that moment. It’s as if nature whispered back.

I love how you’ve woven together respect, ritual, and responsibility. That kinship with animals and the sacredness of their space is something we must all awaken to. You remind us not just to coexist—but to honor.

From one woman to another: thank you.
    Stay rooted, stay rising,
