Too Blessed To Be Stressed

March Break is coming to an end.

This has been a wonderful week.

I’ve:

Slept in.

Slowed down.

Exercised on the elliptical until Tuesday when a head-cold took over, knocking the energy out of me.

Walked the dome with Michael as we made decisions such as picking our front door, the colour of the roofing, the layout of the bathroom and the location and layout of the laundry room.

Enjoyed lots of time outside in the beautiful blue sky sunshine cleaning our yard.

Played with the dogs.

Accomplished adulting responsibilities such as housework, taxes, expenses and organizing appointments.

Cooked tasty meals.

Reflected on my 12-Step program resulting from the sudden, very sad loss of a member who died this week. He was waiting for a lung transplant so his health was precarious at the best of times. Recently he became sick with a bad cold/infection and was admitted into the hospital on Monday the 10th. His heart started giving out. He died on Wednesday, March 12th at 5:00pm. His death shocked me, as it did many others within the program. I was immediately reminded that one minute we’re here, the next minute we’re not. Therefore, inspired by the legacy of this member, I made small changes within my program to keep me moving forward, to keep growing into the mature woman I want to become.

Listened, once again, to the audio version of The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. Just for Today I will be impeccable with my words, not take anything personally, won’t make assumptions, and do my best.

Settled a little more deeply into my life, our life here at Penny Lane.

Pleasantly reminded of what summer break will be like with the added bonus of daily swims in the lake!

I’m too blessed to be stressed.

  1. Dome decisions…that’s exciting! 🤗🌻🧡

    1. It is!! There is a lot of positive that comes from taking a long time to build, especially taking the time to figure out the “just right” stuff, instead of impulse decisions. 🤗🌻🧡

      1. Yes, you will have created a thoughtful, beautiful home together. 😁🛖(closest emoji I could find for a dome) 😂🧡

  2. I’m glad you’re doing well and this week has been good. I’m sorry for the loss of one of the 12-step members.

  3. I’m sorry for your loss. It sounds like a great week otherwise. Sometimes the most important thing is to “slow down”. Mission accomplished!

    1. Thank you Rob. 😊🌻☀️
