2020
2020 is the year of COVID.
2020 is also the year my husband Michael and I spent 8 of these 12 months apart.
Either I was on the East Coast of Canada while he was on the West Coast; or I was on the West Coast of Canada while he was on the East Coast.
Why?
In 2019 we repatriated back to Canada from Qatar, this West-East Coast time apart was the transferring of Michael’s old life in British Columbia to our new life in Nova Scotia.
I struggled the entire time Michael and I were apart in 2020.
Borderline Personality Disorder & Attachment Struggles
February 9th, 2022, I was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder & Histrionic Personality Disorder.
These diagnoses finally made sense of my fear of abandonment while we were apart in 2020.
We’ve both come a long way since then.

Space is Needed to Breathe and Grow
To allow your partner space to breathe and grow, space to identify what they personally need to become the best version of themselves, is a true gift of love.
If the person is meant to be in your life, all the open doors and windows in the world will not make them leave.
This is the truth.
