I was a young child as my mother listened to Carol King’s chart topping album, Tapestry. This album resonates with my mother’s independent spirit and its vibe seemed to seep into my soul.
Now, while driving, I sing these songs as loud as I can!
Many decades after I was introduced to the Tapestry album, I met James Taylor during his first visit to Nova Scotia, Canada.
During this time with Mr. Taylor, I was steeped in that chilled, “Carol King” kinda vibe, knowing he’s “got a friend.”

That was a breakthrough album, her voice is strong and soft at the same time. He must be a nice guy to hang out for a while. I like his work too.
