Souq Waqif

After our visit to the National Museum of Qatar, we went to Souq Waqif for dinner with Michael’s coworkers, our friends.

I can’t help but take a picture of the Fanar every time we visit the souq! It is just so beautiful!!!

Walking through the souq – we were late to meet our friends – so we were walking quickly – not a lot of time for pictures or visit the Egyptian glass shop Michael loves so much.

Al Adhamiyah Iraqi Restaurant

We met at the Al Adhamiyah Iraqi Restaurant.

Dinner with friends – Joe, Glenn, Glenn II, Nancy, Claudia, Stacey and Michael!

Michael has one of his favorites: Grape leaves!!!!

I order hummus and beetroot salad!!!  Yummy!!!!!

The power suddenly goes out in this section go the souq!

The fire pit in the restaurant really glows!!!

We paid our bill in the darkness and after a wonderful evening at the new museum and dinner with friends, it was time to call it a night!

I think the power outage was a symbol of an ending, our ending of our time in Qatar.
