New Year’s Eve Day – Flying into Tbilisi, Georgia

Mount Damavand?

During the flight from Qatar to Georgia, this amazing mountain stood out. Turns out, according to my phone’s GPS, it is located in Iran. I wonder if that is Mount Damavand, the highest peak in Iran?

The Georgian written language is very cool – looks, to me, similar to Sri Lankan written language:

Orchid Hotel

I was picked up at the airport by my tour guide who drove me to my hotel. I had today to myself – the next four days I’ll be with him as he shows me around the country.

My hotel is a new building. Clean, modern but modest!

Georgia is mainly an Orthodox Christian country.  Christmas is celebrated on the 7th of January.

I’m a half hour walk from the centre of town.

It was time to check out the area and make my way to the centre of town!

You captured a lot in a small blog. If that is Mount Damavand you have a good eye and a great photo. I agree their written language is really neat. Your hotel is perfect.More like a small condo building, with a home like appeal. Looks cold!brrrrrrrr 🙂
    Have a wonderful day.xoxoxo
